Ornithon is a vitamin and mineral supplement designed specifically to compliment to feeds available for birds in Australia and New Zealand.

Prompted by the success enjoyed by the poultry industry in Australia, where analysis of growth rate, feed conversion and fertility in relation to feed quality had resulted in the development of supplements to ensure the birds were receiving the best nutrition, the Avian Research Laboratories of Inca (Flight) P.L. St Mary’s Australia began similar research focussed on cage birds in the early 1980’s.

The research was wide ranging and thorough and resulted in the development of Ornithon as a supplement for cage and aviary birds.

Ornithon contains 20 minerals and vitamins identified as essential to ensure the proper health of birds.

Recommended dosage is:

Canaries, Budgerigars, Finches, Parrots, Cockatoos, Doves: 4 gram (one levelled spoon measure, enclosed in the 800 gram pack) per 1 litre of drinking water, daily for 3 to 5 weeks. Thereafter 1 to 2 times weekly. 0.4 gram (one small levelled spoon in the 25 and 100 gram container) per 100mL of drinking water.

Important:Administer 3 to 5 weeks before pairing, during egg laying period, crop feeding, early stages of development of young birds, and during moulting period.
