To ensure maximum efficiency from a ceramic emitter used for brooding the heat it produces needs to be reflected down on to the chicks. Without a reflector the heat will just rise away and the benefit from the emitter will be minimal.

This cowling fits onto the budget ceramic brooder lamp fitting to make a complete unit ready for a reflector to be added.

The reflector has an approximately 30cm diameter.
